Norhayati Binti Rakimen’s journey is one of love, resilience, and dedication. Born on October 5, 1974, she is a proud graduate of Vocational School Muar, class of 1990. From a young age, she developed a passion for baking, particularly for making traditional steamed fruit cakes—a legacy she’s kept alive for decades. As a wife and mother of two children, Siti Mastura and Mohammad Afnan, Norhayati has always embraced her role as the heart of her family. Yet, her journey took a life-changing turn in 2017 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Despite facing emotional and physical challenges, Norhayati remained unwavering in her love for baking. She used it as a source of strength and healing. Crafting her signature steamed fruit cakes became more than just a business; it was a testament to her resilient spirit. Her cakes are unique not only for their delicious taste but also for the soul behind them. Each fruit cake is lovingly prepared using a traditional recipe passed down through generations. Rich with abundant fruit and carefully steamed to preserve moisture, every bite reflects her meticulous attention to detail and passion for quality.
Norhayati’s steamed fruit cakes are particularly cherished in the Petaling Jaya area, where they’ve gained a reputation for their exceptional flavor and texture.
